The Attack of the Robot Unicorn

Robot Unicorn Attack

The steel beast looked into the distance. It braced itself, tensing its robotic limbs and raring to go. The violet landscape stood before the beast as it daring it to come. With its mane of rainbow hue flaring with its determination it burst off. The robot unicorn only had one wish and that was to run as far as it could.

Pink clouds in the sky simply flew by into blurred trails. The rainbows that flooded the sky sped past into a nightmare of colours. The beast ran faster and faster. In its way hovered a rainbow fairy. Caring not about the new obstacle, the robot unicorn ran and with blinding speed bit into the fairy. The beast could feel the energy of the seven colours merge with its own, urging it to run at an increased pace.

A chasm was speeding up towards the robot unicorn, threatening consume the beast within its bottomless depths. The robot unicorn however feared not and ran headlong at it. At the moment before its hooves slipped off solid ground, it leaped with all its might. A rainbow trail burst from its tail and it soared through the air. It was approaching a new piece of land, another stretch of road to continue its journey. However the land was just that bit too far away. The robot unicorn however feared not as it mustered its energy and kicked its hooves off with such strength that it managed another leap using thin air as its platform.

Its hooves smashed into the ground like thunder. The impact did not slow the robot unicorn however and it merely accelerated. It ran into a tunnel, speeding across and consuming all the rainbow fairies that came its way. But yet another obstacle threatened to bring its journey to an abrupt end. A gigantic crystalline star blocked off the end of the cave.

The robot unicorn continued to speed up, meeting the new threat head on. Just when it would seem that the beast would crash into the star and meet a messy end, rainbow energies coalesced around the robot unicorn and it glowed with the magnificence of the heavens. With a sudden burst of acceleration, it smashed through the star in a spectacular explosion in which it remained unscathed. Its silver metallic hide shone with the radiance of a star as it galloped onwards, its hooves leaving sparks as it kicked off against the ground.

It ran and ran. Inspired by the beast’s one and only wish to go further, the pink magic dolphins emerged from the abyss below and joined the robot unicorn in its journey. Side by side in an unbreakable camaraderie, the two species charged onwards. No obstacle could break the will of the robot unicorn, its rainbow mane burning bright forevermore.

Faster and faster the beast galloped. With every rainbow fairy consumed, the further it could run. With every crystal star broken through, wishes came true. Nothing could come in the way of the brave robot unicorn. The silver beast of wishes and possibilities will continue to run forevermore.

A short story inspired by the most fabulous game in existence. That said, I did not draw the picture. I just hijacked it off the internet somewhere. Hopefully this will gear me up for more writing!
